After reading all of the ELA technology standards I feel that I would be most comfortable teaching and using the last "Producing" Tech Standard, "Use Digital Media". I personally am more of a visual learner than anything else, so I have always enjoyed digital media in the classroom. When I am a teacher one day I want to be able to use these digital media skills in my classroom. On the other hand, the Tech Standard that I am not as comfortable with is the "Multimedia:" Science/Technical Subjects. This standard is all about using charts and graphs to display quantitative data. I have always been very bad at science and had very little interest in the subject. This being said, I do not think I will be comfortable teaching anything with science and data with my current knowledge on the subject.       In my fifth grade class I like to use technology in many aspects of our classroom.          Microsoft Word has been a staple of my education since I can remember. Microsoft Word is a very commonly used program for almost every job, level of education, and pretty much any other aspect of technology. Since I am constantly being exposed to this program and always being expected to use it, I like to think I am pretty familiar with it. I am not the most technology savvy teenager but I do know how to work my way around Word pretty easily.        A huge problem to consider as a teacher, when asking your students to compose any sort of writing for you you, is plagiarism. Plag...

Technology is constantly progressing, as well as benefitting our society. Technology makes certain things in life much easier to accomplish. That being said, Teaching is can be achieved without technology but the use of it in a classroom makes it much easier. Technology allows teachers to use creative and very efficient techniques while teaching their class, ultimately making the students education better. Not only does technology allow teachers to do their jobs more effectively, it also benefits the students. Without the current use of technology in the classroom, students would be lacking a tremendous amount of helpful resources. For instance, there are so many online databases that students have access to that makes their lives so much easier when doing a project or just trying to greater their knowledge on an issue. I believe both the teacher, and the students need for technology in their everyday lives, influences their need for technology...
